Aero is primarily populated by pegasi, but there are still many other species living there.

Pegasus ponies

Pegasus ponies, also pluralized as pegasi, are feather-winged ponies that can fly. They have light hollow bones to aid their flight, but this makes them more fragile.

They make up around 50% of the entire population of Aero.

Pegasus ponies eat fish, contributing to the large fishing industry.

Earth ponies

Earth ponies originate from the east side of the mountainous region of Aéro Est.

Bat ponies

Bat ponies come from the south of Aero and primarily eat fruit.

They are not as light as pegasus ponies and can't fly as far.

Griffons

Griffons are half-eagle, half-lion hybrids. They have feathered wings and can fly.

They are the other main consumer of fish in Aero.

Changelings

Changelings look like insect-pony hybrids. They have both horns and wings (insect-like), and can both use magic and fly.

They primarily feed on the energy of love and lust. They have the ability to transform into many shapes, but this is mainly used to impersonate ponies to blend in to their society and acquire love and lust energy from other races, which is used both to feed themselves and their hives.

They are more susceptible to the effects of drugs than most other races.

There are two changeling hives currently on Aero.

Succubi

Succubi look very similar to earth ponies. They have limited magical ability, mostly related to their love/lust gathering.

Like changelings, succubi feed on the energy of love and lust. They don't require as much as changelings for two reasons: changelings need to fuel their transformation magic and succubi don't, and changelings that are part of a hive need excess energy to bring back to feed their hive.

They have a passive mind control/arousing effect on others that they can't control. They are more resistant to drugs than most other races.

Succubi are evolutionarily related to changelings. There was a third hive of changelings in the mountains of Aéro Est, but due to a lack of ponies to prey on for food, they integrated into neaby pony society and eventually evolved into succubi.

Hybrids

Many races interbred and continue to interbreed on Aero, resulting in many different combinations of races with different ratios of various other races. These are collectively known as hybrids.
